Woman Honks Horn And Gets Beat Up- Attacker Jailed

MOLINE, Illinois - UPDATE: A man accused of road rage punched a woman in the face and put a juvenile passenger in a headlock, according to court documents.

28-year-old Jason Leslein of Moline was arrested Wednesday after police say he beat up a woman after she honked her horn at him.

Police officials said the incident occurred Monday afternoon after the 54-year-old female driver honked at Leslein near the intersection of 25th Street and 12th Avenue in Moline.

Investigators were back in the neighborhood Friday interviewing witnesses and say it appears Leslein swerved into the victim's lane, triggering her reaction to honk.

According to court records, Leslein is accused of punching the female victim in the face ''causing facial fractures'', and putting her passenger in a headlock and striking him in the head.

Leslein, who lives in the neighborhood ,is still in jail. He has been arrested more than 20 times.

Delaware Cop's Gun Stollen / Arrests Made


VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - The man who allegedly stole and sold an off-duty Delaware police officer's gun was arrested Thursday, as was the man who allegedly bought the stolen weapon.

John Sobran, 19, of Virginia Beach, has been charged with stealing the gun with the intent to sell it, discharging a firearm in public, removing a firearm serial number, entering a motor vehicle (where he allegedly found the gun), and conspiring to trespass.

Gary King, also 19, of Virginia Beach, allegedly purchased the gun from Sobran. When he was arrested, he had the stolen firearm in the possession. He was charged with receipt of a stolen firearm and removal of a firearm serial number.

The officer had been visiting from Delaware when the gun was stolen from a parked car in front of a residence. The officer's badge and the gun holster were found near the car.

Both Sobran and King were taken to the Virginia Beach Correctional Facility. Sobran received $2,500 bond; King receive $3,000 bond.

One Man Wanted In New Jersey Gun Ring Turns Himself In

Follow up on a story from June 2~~~~

One of the Eastern Shore men who have been charged in a gun ring that stretched from the Eastern Shore to New Jersey has turned himself in, according to the Northampton County Sheriffs office. Bobby Lee Henderson, 24 (center) of Townsend, has turned himself in to authorities in Tennessee after being charged in connection with the gun ring. Henderson allegedly sold guns that Trayle Beasley, of Trenton, NJ and formerly of the Eastern Shore, transported or attempted to transport to New Jersey. Beasley is currently being held at the Mercer County, N.J., Jail with bail set at $250,000 cash and was charged with being the kingpin of the gun ring.

Currently, Jonathan Johnson, 28 of Cape Charles and Larry Nottingham, 28 of Eastville are still at large. Johnson is charged with one second-degree count of either transportation or attempted transportation of a firearm into New Jersey for unlawful sale or transfer which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in state prison and a $150,000. Nottingham is charged with fourth-degree unlawful disposition of a firearm, which carries a maximum sentence of 18 months in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Update: Pocomoke Murder

POCOMOKE, Md. - Police have arrested an alleged shooter accused of gunning down a man in Pocomoke Wednesday night.

Thirty-six-year-old Alexander Crippen is sitting behind bars in connection to the alleged homicide of Reginald Jerome Handy Jr.



"Crippen was charged with First Degree Murder, Second Degree Murder, Manslaughter, Use of a Handgun in the Commission of a Crime of Violence and Possession of a Handgun," said Joel Todd, the State's Attorney for Worcester County.

During a press conference Friday afternoon, Todd says Crippen allegedly approached Handy.
"Words were exchanged between Handy and Crippen," said Todd. "Crippen fired a handgun several times at Handy."

Police say the men knew each other, but they aren't sure how.

With the help of eyewitnesses they were able to make an arrest.

"When we spoke with them they were actually able to identify who the shooter was and that's how we were able to identify who Mr. Crippen was and begin actively searching for him," said Detective Corporal Mike Lupiwok, with the Worcester County Sheriff's Office.

Police located and apprehended Crippen around 11:00 Thursday night at the Traveler's Motel in Delmar.

Police also say he was staying there under a different name.


Pocomoke police are encouraging people in the area to attend an open discussion concerning the recent happenings on Saturday, June 12th at 10:00 a.m. at the New Macedonia Baptist Church.
