Footnote: Contrary to popular belief it wasn't the ocean that created the current inlet. The infamous storm of 1933 brought copious amounts of rainfall resulting in flood waters of Sinepuxent Bay cutting a channel through the beach out to the ocean.

The Numbers Game And Worcester's Low Ranking In Receiving State Aid To Education

Why are we here in Worcester County receiving the second lowest amount of state funding for education?  If you want to try to follow the financial dots an article in Ocean City's "OC Today" tells why we don't fare too well, proportionately, in receiving state aid for our Worcester County schools.

Chief's Vacancy Filled

Local media reports say Lee Brumley will fill the vacancy of Chief Of Police in Pocomoke City. Brumley is a retired Pocomoke City Police veteran and has been working with the Somerset County Sheriff's Office for many years.
