Arrest Made In Pocomoke Residential Arson


The Worcester County Fire Marshal's Office has investigated a fire at 602 Mimosa Lane in Pocomoke City, Maryland. The residence was a single family home. The occupant arrived home in the evening of April 17, 2010 to find the fire burning. The fire was determined to be intentionally set. The investigation led to the arrest of 46 year old James Edward Allen of Pocomoke City, Maryland. James Allen set a porch door mat on fire causing damage to the only doorway into and out of the house. Mr. Allen was charged with 1st and 2nd Degree Arson and Malicious Burning of property damage less than $1,000. Mr. Allen was held in the Worcester County Jail on $25,000 Bond.
