WMDT-TV CHANNEL 47
Worcester County's 10 Most Wanted Suspects

WORCESTER COUNTY, Md. - Even criminals head home for the holidays. Which is what Worcester County law enforcement is counting on.

In an exclusive 5 part series, the Worcester County State's Attorney's Office shares important information on suspects at large, in hopes that you can help bring them to justice. Beau Oglesby, Worcester County's State's Attorney, reached out to WMDT to help them with their latest campaign called "Home For The Holidays".

They gave us a list of 10 of their Most Wanted Suspects, and where they might be at this time of year.

"Some of them are misdemeanor offenses, some are violations of probation, some are simply failure to appear for court or charges were still outstanding," explains Oglesby. Is there anyone else States Attorney Beau Oglesby could have located and placed there photo's on this website. Why is Oglesby always trying to make Pocomoke look like a bad place. Is there anyone from Berlin, Snow Hill, Ocean city that's wanted. Show those faces on the website Beau.

  4. Please note: In this 5 part report the listing of names will be based on those thought to be still in the are or would likely have a reason to come back to the area for the holidays.

These are just the first two in a series of 10.

What difference does it make where they are from? The importance of it all is that something is finally being done to nab these persons. That's a first in Worcester County in a very long time.

Worcester County citizens have law enforcement and the Office of the State's Attorney for Worcester County working together.

This recent campaign is call "Home For The Holidays". I've always complained that names don't mean a thing to most people because so many people have nicknames. But a photo can make a huge difference in locating someone. Give it time to progress. It's a great start.

I agree with you Jmmb but, are there any photos of wanted people anywhere else. Why is Pocomoke always made an example of. And if you are a betting man Jmmb. I bet you other photos of wanted people and other cities won't be advitised.

  6. Why not Pocomoke? It doesn't mean that the most crimes are comitted in Pocomoke. These are just 10 of the "most wanted" for various reasons....one reason being they are most likely to be around for the holidays. All of us will have to wait and see what other names and photos are posted in the days ahead. For right now we'll just have to wait and see who the remaining are. I'm anxious to know too.

Again, I don't care what town they begin with and don't think it means a thing at all by starting with Pocomoke - just so something is finally being done!

Some people will say out of one side of their mouth "crime is so bad in PC and no one does anything." Then out of the other side comes "how come everyone is picking on PC" when someone does try and do something.
    It doesn't make any sense.

Oglesby is not always trying to make Pocomoke look like a bad place. How's it his fault that these 2 guys fit the criteria of those they wanted depicted in this wanted series????
"Series"-get it that means there is more to come.

If Oglesby is that concerned about crime in Pocomoke, I wonder why he refuses to charge Torrance Davis with crimes he has openly admitted to in court...selling crack in exchange for high powered rifles, "always" carrying an unlicensed handgun on him "for protection," that he keeps in a holster because he's already planned that if the police stop him, he will get out and run to throw the gun away. In the recent drug indictments where almost everyone was handed down a harsh sentence, Davis gets a sentence of 7 years with 6 suspended. Its kinda ridiculous that Oglesby constantly offers Davis plea bargains when he is the cause of a great deal of crime in Pocomoke. It's all so sad.

I think Davis should have gotten 7 years with 1 suspended!
I looked him up on judiciary and it's looks like it was the same prosecutor we had for a burglary years ago. She actually said that day to the judge that she wasn't going to recommend a sentence. I guess it didn't matter to her that this guy never before had learned his lesson by his short stints in jail. I was not impressed by this prosecutor at all.

If you look at WMDT now you will see that all 10 are now viewable and are from areas throughout Worcester County. The important thing to do now, is call 410-632-1111 if you see these individuals or know where they hide. Thanks for your commitment to public safety Mr State's Attorney and Sheriff Mason.
