wow... i wish people understood how evil monsanto is! Ever heard how they sample farmers fields (without a search warrant or the farmer knowing) looking for their patented gene and sue the farmer if they find their gene? The lawsuits have been the end of many family farms. It is a natural process that pollen (potentially carrying monsantos gene) from neighboring farms blows into a field and the gene is then in the crop forever! Monsanto sues, if farmer fights lawsuit, they lose, unless they are millionaires that can afford to fight a multi-billion dollar corporation! And this is just scratching the surface! Ever heard of DDT (agent orange)- monsanto product! If you care check out the documentaries "The World According to Monsanto" (free online) or "Food Inc."

There are two sides to every story and the truth usually can be found somewhere in the middle.

I agree with the first poster. Not only that Monsanto food products are poison. DO NOT PURCHASE SWEET CORN FROM WALMART THIS SUMMER! It's pure poison. Their corn is so genetically modified it's nothing near corn that you will eat.
There corn has been linked to organ failure. They have been found guilty of chemical poisoning in France and have bankrupted already poor poverty stricken farmers in India.
It's an evil company. They are not a socially conscious company. There are no 2 sides to their story!

Monsanto are the ones who produce the seeds that are sterile. It means that if you save a seed from the fruit or vegetable, you will get a plant but it won't bear fruits. Same with flowers-plant but no flower.
This is causing terrible problems in 3rd world countries where seed saving and swaping is custom.
They want control over the world's farmers is the bottom line-control means profits. Bad company all around.
