My father had the misfortune of being a pupil (not student but a pupil) of Miss Minnie Warren, a spinster sister of Elizabeth. His most frequent descriptions of her included the words "strict", "mean" and "bitter".

A later era but next Sunday's postings include an item about local teacher appointments for 1938. If you attended school in Pocomoke City in the 1940's or 1950's you may remember some of those teachers.
