(Curt Lippoldt points to the imposing Bethany United Methodist Church on Market Street in Pocomoke City.  Looking like a Greek or Roman temple, it is one building in town folks remember because of its size and design.  It was built in 1882 and survived several major fires in the community.)

Pocomoke Public Eye footnote: The church was destroyed by a fire in 2005. Pictured is the rebuilt church.
