Newark, MD, January 29, 2024– We are proud to share that four of our outstanding school librarians have been nominated for the 2024 Maryland School Librarian of the Year award.  Congratulations to Jennifer Beach, Pocomoke Middle School; Caitlin Bunting, Buckingham Elementary School; Kate McCabe, Showell Elementary School; and Beau Williams, Snow Hill Middle School.

This honor, presented by the Maryland Association of School Librarians, recognizes their remarkable contributions to our school libraries. They are among 44 librarians chosen from various public and private school libraries across the state.

The winner, to be announced in May 2024, will be honored with a plaque and complimentary access to MASL's 2024 Conference, along with a selection of prizes from various sponsors.

As these four nominees advance to the next round of finalist selection, we extend our best wishes and support. Their nominations reflect the dynamic and engaging library programs they lead, enriching the educational experiences of students. Join us in congratulating them on this well-deserved recognition!
