Authorities in Tennessee confirmed Thursday, Clarence Jackson is out of jail.
A spokesperson for the family of Christine Sheddy, who's remains were found in Snow Hill last month, said Jackson was one of the last people to see Sheddy alive at his Pocomoke house before Sheddy went missing in November 2007.
Sheddy's remains were found in a shallow grave at a bed and breakfast in Snow Hill.
However, officials investigating Sheddy's death have not publicly linked Jackson to the Sheddy case.
But Tennessee court documents say Jackson was given probation and "must fully cooperate with Maryland detectives and DA's (District Attorney's) office in murder prosecution."
Officials say Jackson has checked in with probation officers in Maryland.
There are also reports Jackson has been spotted in the Pocomoke-area.
Jackson has an extensive criminal history.
"I think he's definitely a threat, from previous history of how our probation system is working," said Pocomoke-area resident Candy Holland.
However, other residents disagree.
"Everyone is innocent until proven guilty you've got to give him a fair shake," said Pocomoke-area resident Tyrone Suggs.
The owners of the bed and breakfast where Sheddy's remains were found, also said Jackson worked for them.
Worcester County State's Attorney's Joel Todd has refused to confirm Jackson's involvement in the case, saying answering questions regarding Sheddy's death would compromise the investigation.
So far no cause of death for Christine Sheddy has been released.

So what it amounts to is Jr was sentensed to probation in TN for setting the shower curtain on fire and requested and was granted his probation be transfered to MD?
ReplyDeleteGeez Thanks, State of TN!
Now it makes sense where "his love" was going with all her vague comments on her myspace for the past 2 months.
"Extensive criminal history", yeah I'd say.
ReplyDeleteJust look at him trying to look like the tough guy in his mugshot.
I say drop this clown off for a day or 2 in Newark NJ so he can be taught a lesson by real gangbangers!!
What's taking so long for a cause of death to be released?
ReplyDeleteJackson and his woman of the month Tia obviously have an involvement in this case as they were the last ones to see Christine Sheddy alive.
I mean come on, Sheddy was living at their home, she mysteriously goes missing, and then is found burried on the grounds of an Inn where both of them worked at some point in time. According to Sheddy's mother, Jackson gave her 3different stories on the day that she went missing.
What gives?
Didn't Chapter 5 of Nictitate's tale explain why Mr. Jackson couldn't be arrested for arson for the fires on Byrd Road?
ReplyDeleteThe blame game is at it again about how TN immediatly arrested Jackson for arson and how MD didn't even though the neighbor "begged" them to do so. The answer is of course a "WITNESS".
Knowing the neighbor, it's highly doubtful that SB was a confidant or privey to anything from the neighbor. Why are these stories being made up?
In the ranting of SB it's also mentioned how Christine was concidered as a missing person. Well golly gee mam until there was proof to the contrary that's how the law is.
Once again Christine's case is being used by the local blog owner as a political platform. How disrespectful can one get? They need to stop using people and circumstances to push their private agenda and to act like they know something.
No one believes' SB, Clara Mae. Take for instance her reason why Todd's office is remaining silent. Joel Todd is and always remains silent because he swore under oath when sworn into the elected position of States Attorney to abide by the rules of Profesional Conduct. Unlike most district and states attorney's he takes his oath seriously and has never been one to want his face on television. His goal is justice served.
ReplyDeleteWorcester County has had atleast 2 "high profile" nationally spotlighted cases I can think of (Sifrit and the fetus hoarder, sorry but I can't remember her name) and Mr Todd has never even spoken more than the cursory comment about either of those 2 cases publically.
If you want a State's Attorney who gives out lots of details to the public I guess you could always hire Mike Nifong. Is that what you really want?
ReplyDeleteI suppose Mike McDermott MADE Kagan take out the warrant Stephanie writes about on her blog.
ReplyDeleteIf you go to case search it says:
Kagan, A
Complainant/Police Officer
More "liberties" taken by the Burkes, I see.
We are very happy and pleased with Mr Todd as our States Attorney, Thank You Very Much, Anon 10:29. And besides S/A's are elected not hired.
ReplyDeleteI talked Carol Morrison 2 days before the 'Public' search, and she did state that the Fire Marshall would not arrest Jr. right after he knocked on her door in the wee hours of the morning and told her not to call the FD ever again or she would go to jail.
ReplyDeleteShe has even stated this in writing.
Is she lying?
She very well could be.
Why would she lie about this, who knows, but I certainly don't have anything to gain in stating this.
Check the logs yourself.
Numerous fires No Arrest.
I don't know what to tell you.
And as far as the warrant...ask McDermot...that is what he told me.s
