On Monday police went into a unit at the Somers Cove Apartments with a warrant and a search turned up nearly 116 grams of marijuana, $1370 in cash, scales and 2 BB guns. Police arrested Rakeem Terry and Shannon Evans of Crisfield and Keevon Bishop of Princess Anne. Each is being held in default of $15,000 secured bond.
CRISFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT NEWS RELEASE
As a part of an on-going Narcotics Investigation being conducted by the Crisfield Police Department with the assistance of the Pocomoke City PD. On August 22nd, 2011 the police departments raided a residence located at 257 Somers Cove Apartments / Crisfield Housing Authority accompanied with a signed Search & Seizure Warrant signed by the Honorable Judge Paula Price.
As entry was made several individuals attempted their escape via the rear back door only to be met by the Crisfield Police. The search warrant was based on probable cause received during the course of this (3) month investigation. A search of the residence resulted in the recovery of several bags of marijuana totaling 115.9 grams, $1370.00 in U.S. Currency, drug weighing scales, 2 replica 45 handguns (BB guns), and (3) arrest to include the leasee of the apartment (See Photo). The U.S. Currency will be forfeited to the City of Crisfield.

This was an Outstanding drug bust, the Crisfield Police Department’s efforts are continuous. This effort should send a strong message to those that are involved in the illegal drug trade that we working our way to the top of the food chain, and we are coming after you!
