Shore Bank and the Eastern Shore Sheriff's Departments are sponsoring two public seminars that focus on identifying and preventing consumer and business fraud.
The first session will be held on Wednesday, October 23rd in Exmore at the Hampton Inn from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm. The second session will be held Thursday, October 24th in Onley at Shore Banks Community Room from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm. Both sessions are open to consumers and business owners and are free.
Sessions will focus on crucial topics that include elder fraud, lottery scams, counterfeit money detection for businesses, keeping your identity safe, and texting and work-from-home scams.
The sessions will be presented by local law enforcement officers who will provide valuable information on avoiding scams and identity theft.
While the sessions are free, pre-registration is recommended.
