Rescue personnel from the Community Fire Company in Exmore responded to the scene and transported the child to Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital where the child was pronounced dead.
The child was identified as 2 y/o Jasheena Bull of Belle Haven.
An autopsy was conducted on May 1st at the Medical Examiners Office in Norfolk at which time the cause of death was listed as pending.

On August 14th, warrants were issued against 36 y/o Victoria Mae Joynes and 31 y/o James Martinez Snead, both of Belle Haven, for ABUSE AND NEGLECT OF JASHEENA BULL.

Victoria Joynes was arrested on August 14th and released on a $5,000 secured bond.
James Martinez Snead was arrested on August 15th and incarcerated in the Accomack County Jail on a $6,500 secured bond.
Upon receipt of the completed autopsy report, Investigators determined that the cause of death in this case was homicide.
On December 2nd, James Martinez Snead was indicted by an Accomack County Grand Jury for an additional charge of 2ND DEGREE MURDER. Snead was served the indictment on December 3rd and is currently incarcerated in the Accomack County Jail with bond denied.
