Worester County Sheriff's Office PRESS RELEASE

On January 25, 2014 at approximately 0830 Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Deputies observed two vehicles traveling south on Rt. 113 in the area of Rt. 12 in Snow Hill, at 79 miles per hour in a posted 55 mile per hour zone. Both vehicles were stopped.

An odor of Marijuana was smelled coming from within one of the vehicles.

That vehicle was being driven by Traye C Mcpherson 19 years of age from Hempstead NY and a front seat passenger, Shanice A Pierre 20 years of age also from Hempstead NY.  In the glove box of this vehicle Deputies located a zip lock bag of Marijuana.  Ms. Pierre admitted to Deputies that the Marijuana was hers.

Ms.Pierre was charged with Possession of Marijuana less than 10 grams and she was released on a Criminal Citation.

Mr. Mcpherson was issued a traffic citation for 79/55.
