POCOMOKE CITY POLICE
 PRESS RELEASE
 MARCH 15 TO MARCH 20, 2014

 

 March 15, 2014 at approximately 3:41 PM, Pocomoke Police responded to a Shoplifting complaint at Wal-Mart Supercenter in Pocomoke City. Upon arrival Pocomoke Police learned the suspect in custody exited Wal-Mart without paying for her merchandise. Further investigation revealed the suspect had an Outstanding Arrest Warrant for fail to pay a court ordered fine. Arrested was Kristy Godwin, age 24 of New Church Virginia. Godwin was charged with Theft. She was taken to the Worcester County Detention Center held on $257.50 bond.

 

March 15, 2014 at approximately 5:49 PM, Pocomoke Police responded to a Shoplifting complaint at Wal-Mart Supercenter in Pocomoke City. Upon arrival Pocomoke Police learned the suspect in custody did exit Wal-Mart without paying for his merchandise. Arrested was Jonathan Nelson, age 32 of Crisfield, MD. Nelson was charged with Theft and released on his personal recognizance.

 

 March 16, 2014 at approximately 12:14 AM, Pocomoke Police while patrolling the downtown area came in contact with a subject that possibly had an active Arrest Warrant. Further investigation revealed the subject had an active Warrant for Theft. Arrested was Terrence Gale, age 31 of Pocomoke. Gale was released on his personal recognizance.

 

March 18, 2014 at approximately 2:04 PM, Pocomoke Police received a complaint regarding a vehicle driving in the Pocomoke area with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Upon receiving the call Pocomoke Police observed the vehicle in question. Pocomoke Police conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Further investigation resulted in the driver being issued a Criminal Citation for Possession of Marijuana. Arrested was Jocelyn Hurley, age 19 of Pocomoke, MD.

 

March 18, 2014 at approximately 5:23 PM, Pocomoke Police responded to a call for service in the area of Bonneville Avenue Apartments. Upon arrival Pocomoke Police observed several individuals in the area. Upon identifying all individuals, police learned one subject had an active Arrest Warrant for Violation of Probation. Arrested was Keydrick White, age 23 of Pocomoke. White was transported to the Worcester County Detention Center.

 

March 18, 2014 at approximately 5:49 PM, Pocomoke Police served an Outstanding Warrant for Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession with intent to Distribute Controlled Dangerous Substance on Tyrone Nixon, age 34 of Pocomoke MD. Nixon was transported to the Worcester County Detention Center on $3,000 bond.

 

March 19, 2014 at approximately 3:29 PM, Pocomoke Police conducted a traffic stop. Upon contact with the driver Pocomoke Police recognized him to have an Outstanding Warrant for 2nd degree Assault. Arrested was Kevin Taylor, age 37 of Pocomoke MD. Taylor was released on his personal recognizance.

 

March 19, 2014 at approximately 5:50 PM, Pocomoke Police was attempting to conduct a Field Interview on a possible Wanted Subject. Pocomoke Police was then confronted by two individuals in a disorderly manner. One subject was attempting to interfere with the Officer from making an arrest. Arrested for Disturbing the Public Peace was Bryant Kellam, age 21 of Pocomoke MD. Arrested for Resisting/Interfering with Arrest was Valisceya Pugh, age 43 of Pocomoke MD. Both subjects were issued Criminal Citations and released.
