People assumed the bridge was held up by concrete pilings or supports because, well, because that's what it looks like.
ReplyDeleteWhen the bridge collapsed about 25 years ago everyone was startled to find the bridge was held up by common timber pilings and they had rotted to the point they should have collapsed 50 years ago.
