Student charged in Pocomoke school threat

 Worcester County Sheriff’s officers have charged a Pocomoke Middle School student in connection with a threat to the school on September 29th. Investigation revealed the threat was not credible and that the social media post was created by a student. No firearm was ever brought to the school. Charges for the student have been referred to the Department of Juvenile Services –

• disruption of school operations
• threat of mass violence
• false statement to an officer
• causing a false statement to an officer
