CNN journalist Erin Burnett is an Eastern Shore native.
Erin Burnett was born on July 2, 1976 at Peninsula General Hospital in Salisbury to Mr. and Mrs. K. King Burnett. Her father was a prominent attorney in the Salisbury area. The family's home was at Mardela Springs. Erin attended the Salisbury School through her early teens, a private school for academically qualified students. She completed school at St. Andrew's Boarding School in Middletown, De., and later graduated from Williams College, a private liberal arts college in Williamstown, Ma. Before joining CNN she was a business reporter for CNBC.

I knew K. King Burnett well. He was a very liberal attorney and counselor of choice of Ilia Fehrer. The apple does not fall far from the tree.
