I never had the privilege of meeting John Kennedy, but I did meet his brother, Edward M. Kennedy.

It was either late 1967 or early 1968 and I was a student at Pocomoke High School. One day the principal, Leon Timmons, announced that school busses were on the way to pick up all juniors and seniors. We were loaded up and transported to Snow Hill High where we met classmates from Snow Hill and Stephen Decatur. When we were all assembled in the auditorium Senator Kennedy made his appearance, spoke about nothing in particular and made his exit. we students were loaded up and returned to our respective schools. It is still a mystery as to what the purpose was and as Lincoln said, "The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here...".
