Many of us often yearn for a taste of the "good old days." We seem to think that things were so much simpler back in those times. Were they?  A hundred years ago this summer a sewer line improvement plan for a certain section of Pocomoke City raised  the ire of the local newspaper and drew response from the mayor. The newspaper presented the issue as a front page news article; in actuality it was an editorial. The next week the newspaper printed a response from the mayor, describing it as a "supposed reply." City Hall fans, enjoy.

2008  ..  Can the Warriors from Pocomoke claim their fourth straight Class 1A state soccer title?

1941  ..  The Soldiers' Service Committee of Pocomoke needs knitting volunteers.

1907  ..  What's the leading topic of conversation in Marion?-

1921  ..  This appears to be an innocent enough headline but the local newspaper editor is taking the Pocomoke mayor to task on the issue and it's a 'he says, he says' battle .
