NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON MONDAY, JULY 19, 2021 AT 6:30 P.M.

A fair summary of the proposed Resolutions is as follows:

The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comment on the proposed Resolution

No. 540, Council Approval for Application for Armory Demolition

A Resolution of The Mayor & Council of Pocomoke City Council Approval for Application for funding for demolition of the Armory building.

This hearing will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 101 Clarke Ave. Pocomoke City, MD. A complete copy of the proposed legislative bill is available in CITY HALL at 101 Clarke Ave. Pocomoke City MD, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on the  City’s website at cityofpocomoke.com . If the meeting is FB Livestream/Zoom, information will be posted on the City website before the meeting.

The coastal storm (unnamed) during the first week of March, 1962, was one of the most devastating of the 20th century for the lower Eastern Shore. These pictures from Ocean City were taken by the late Bill Hoffman of Salisbury who was working for WBOC at the time.
