New Library? Where did that idea come from? What's wrong with the old one? Surely the demand is not there. I mean, the population of Pocomoke has not increased significantly and there is a MUCH LOWER demand for books because everyone is online now. Did Worcester County suddenly have a rich uncle pass away?

Atlantic General- Monday

(WMDT)

BERLIN, Md. – Atlantic General Hospital experienced what’s being called a ransomware event Monday afternoon.

A hospital spokesperson told 47 ABC that the cause of the disruption is being investigated. Network outages did occur but we’re told patient interruption was limited. The hospital Emergency Room is continuing to receive and treat patients and will continue to service elective surgeries and other outpatient procedures.

Atlantic General Health System officers remain open and all services are operational, with the exception of RediScripts, the hospital outpatient walk-in lab, and pulmonary function testing and outpatient imaging.

Pocomoke Public Eye note:  Above report was filed PM Monday.  Checking with the hospital might be in order if there's a question about current services.
