Have you ever noticed the sing-song delivery in the news presentations of anchors Heidi Kristine of WMDT and David Scott of WBOC, i.e. frequent upward inflections of words especially at the end of sentences? Contrast this to the conversational delivery of WBOC's veteran anchor Steve Hammond and the pros on networks and in larger TV markets.
