I want to provide some important context regarding the recent Facebook post announcing the cancellation of the Demo Derby and suggesting that this occurred simply because the Mayor and Council canceled events at the Great Pocomoke Fairgrounds.

Pocomoke Fairgrounds woes-

Pocomoke City, Md.- The Pocomoke City Fairgrounds was issued Title 4 and Title 5 violations from the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE). 

Mayor Todd Nock, along with city officials, held a council meeting (9/8), bringing up the fairgrounds in their agenda. The Mayor called for more organization and transparency in how the fairgrounds hosts their events.

I have had a bite of that apple and can tell you that the Maryland Department of the Environment can be completely unreasonable. They have no official guidelines for where wetlands start or end and their position is they are always right and you are always wrong and there is no option for appeal.
