Beginning this past Sunday evening the Pocomoke City Volunteer Fire Company maintained a volunteer staffed engine, rescue, command vehicle, and utility vehicle to serve during the course of the snowstorm.
By early Monday afternoon Pocomoke Fire Company personnel had responded to 17 calls for service, including assisting Accomack with a structure fire. The majority of incidents were storm-related, involving vehicles off the roadway, numerous trees and limbs down, downed power and utility lines, and assisting EMS.
Crews removed countless trees and limbs. Members also faced adverse and hazardous conditions, and in some cases, obstructions could not be safely removed.
Personnel remained standing by at the station, ready to respond to additional emergency calls.
THANK YOU, POCOMOKE VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY FOR YOUR DEDICATION AND SERVICE!

Congratulations to the newest addition to downtown Pocomoke City! The Landing, located at 149 Market Street, now brings together four professional service providers along with a charming storefront boutique under one roof.
Local entrepreneurs Rachel Harris and Stephanie Dize—recipients of the Downtown Building Improvement Program and Project Restore 2.0—have transformed a property that had stood vacant for more than 20 years into a vibrant new space for the community.
(New Pocomoke CC formed in conjunction with newly organized Delmarva Eastern Shore Association.)
Pocomoke City Police Dept
"Citizens of Pocomoke, I am honored to serve as your Neighborhood Watch Program Coordinator. Since my appointment in November 2025, we have observed a notable decrease in local crime; however, our work continues. I remain committed to ensuring our community stays safe and connected.
To address your questions and concerns, I invite you to attend a Neighborhood Watch Meeting on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 8:00 PM. This meeting will provide an opportunity to engage directly with me and representatives from the Pocomoke City Police Department to discuss how we can better serve our neighborhoods. The meeting will be held at the Pocomoke City Police Department, located at 1500 Market Street.
Furthermore, we are currently seeking candidates interested in representing their respective voting districts. These representatives will maintain a direct line of communication with me to keep neighborhoods informed and to proactively address local concerns.
Your voice matters, and I hope to see you on March 2 as we continue building a safer, stronger community together."
