Ocean City Christmas Parade Saturday-

Bring your chairs, blankets and plan for a day in OC! Arrive early to park and get your viewing spot. The parade begins promptly at 11:00 am with an extended route from Old Landing Road north to 120th Street. The southbound lanes of Coastal highway are closed for the parade in that general area allowing spectators to gather curbside. Following the parade join us at the Carousel for family-friendly fun and the awards presentation!

Somerset County Health Department is a pilot location for the newly launched adult vaccine program, announced by Governor Wes Moore. This program will expand access to critical immunizations for uninsured and underinsured Marylanders. Recommended vaccines will be provided to Marylanders aged 19 and older.

Time Machine: 100 years ago this week in Pocomoke's newspaper; plus Holiday Time: 1904, 1966, 1969, 1955.

Mrs. Katherine Etchison was my great-aunt and was a local teacher. In 1960 she presented me with my first subscription to an unknown (to me) magazine called "National Geographic". I never threw away a copy and stored them under my bed to be pulled out and surreptitiously scanned at night, when I was supposed to be sleeping. By the time I graduated high school there were over 100 copies under there!
