Proposed federal budget cuts for NASA that would impact the Wallops Flight Facility were beaten back by a U.S. House of Representatives appropriations panel on Tuesday, July 15, but the process of retaining funding for Wallops is just beginning.

Congresswoman Jen Kiggans confirmed that NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility will not face budget cuts in the upcoming fiscal year, following bipartisan efforts in Congress to restore funding levels originally targeted for reduction.
