(In 2025 any responsible media outlet would be taken to task for accepting advertising mentioning the Klan.
In this same edition the Worcester Democrat ran a lengthy editorial that said of a Baltimore Sun editorial: "The metropolitan press is disposed to make light of the recent demonstration by the Ku Klux Klan in Washington."
However, the local newspaper's conclusion seemed to also make light of the Klan to an extent:)

tk for PPE says: I remember that "Mr. Ryan" was the coach of my Jaycees Little League baseball team, circa 1954. Could have been Phil Ryan. We played at the old Parker Field where Pocomoke of the Eastern Shore League played. I helped keep the bench warm most of the time. 😁
