A project by Riverside in Onley’s employees was featured on Fox and Friends Thanksgiving morning.  For years, nurses and other employees have knitted outfits for newborns that are delivered at the facility.  This week they unveiled turkey outfits to commemorate Thanksgiving.

Watch Your Speed

Check your speed when riding through Virginia during the Thanksgiving holiday.

Virginia State Police will be out in full force.

The agency says 75 percent of its uniformed work force will be on patrol from 12:01 a.m. Wednesday through midnight Sunday.

Once again Troopers will be participating in Operation Combined Accident Reduction Effort, a nationwide campaign designed to reduce crashes, fatalities and injuries caused by impaired driving, speeding and failure to buckle up.

Accomack County Public Schools Thanksgiving Holiday Break

MAKE A NOTE ON YOUR CALENDAR

Accomack County Public schools announced Monday that all Accomack County Public Schools will close at 1:00 PM on November 24 for the Thanksgiving Holiday Break.

All students will have the opportunity to have lunch prior to dismissal.

All Accomack County Schools will also be closed on Thursday, November 25 and Friday November, 26.

Students will return to school on Monday, November 29 at regular scheduled times.
