UPDATE: Somerset County has lifted its burn ban, but still strongly recommends caution when burning outdoors.
President Charles Laird of the Somerset County Commissioners says that, upon the advisement of the Somerset County Fire Chiefs, Somerset County has lifted the imposed moratorium on all outdoor burning.
However, authorities maintain it is strongly recommended that extreme caution is used if choosing to burn outdoors.
