~Ground Hog Day~
Punxsutawney Phil, the famous ground hog from Pennsylvania, emerged from his burrow and saw his shadow- predicting 6 more weeks of winter.
I read today that whether or not he sees his shadow is predetermined by old guys in big hats. seriously, the news report said something along those lines. While I know the tradition isn't scientific I didn't think it was all a set up. Weird huh?
Regardless, there's alot to be said about traditions. Six weeks from today is March 15 - so we'll see how correct either the ground hog was or those old guys in big hats. (I"m going to look for info regarding who actually does predict the weather on Feb. 2)
