Where's Alex?

 

Meteorologist Alex Seymore has moved on from forecasting the  weather at local NBC affiliate WRDE.  Here is his Facebook post:

After nearly 7 years with Draper Media on WBOC and WRDE, I have decided to leave television to ensure that I have more time to spend with family and friends. While I will no longer be on tv, I do still plan on providing weather updates on Facebook. I recently took a position with Special Olympics Delaware where I will be able to tell the stories of the incredible athletes, coaches, and volunteers through digital media channels. While I will certainly miss my time working in tv, I look forward to this new career path.

I can remember when Citizens National Bank on Market Street paid 3% interest on my passbook savings account. I would walk in every six months or so, and Gloria Richardson would take my passbook to a counter in the back, do some magic with an electric calculator, bring my passbook back and use a rubber stamp to mark the date and then add in the magic interest numbers.

You can't get 3% anymore and no bank has used passbook savings account in probably 40 years or more.
