Footnote: (An actual "Time Machine" experience.) There was a time when the state of Virginia remained on Eastern Standard Time all year long. I was living in Pocomoke and had to be to work at 530 a.m. about 30 miles away at WESR radio on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. So while Maryland was on Daylight Savings Time (one hour ahead of Virginia) I could leave Pocomoke at 6 a.m. and arrive at work at 530 a.m. But payback for that convenience came on my return trip home. When I arrived back in Pocomoke after the half-hour drive the time was an hour and a half later then when I left work in Virginia. -tk

I have fond memories of growing up in Pocomoke City and welcome reader contributions we can share about things you've read, remember, or were told relating to our Pocomoke/Eastern shore area...a sentence, a paragraph, or more all fine. Just email it.
