Campbell Soup Company announces it's closing their plants in Pocomoke and Crisfield. 1922.. Construction is underway in Pocomoke City on "the largest and best equipped" department store on the Eastern Shore. 1931.. A large crowd is expected at Pocomoke's new outdoor boxing arena which can seat 4,000 fans. 1893.. Should fencing be required to keep cows and hogs in check in the Eastern Shore of Virginia's Atlantic District?
