Demolition of the Lusby building and the old Dance Loft started late morning on February 22, 2019. The City has contracted with Harry White of Pocomoke Recycling Co, Inc. to do the demolition and clean up of the 2 buildings. Unfortunately, these buildings were beyond reasonable and economical repair due to the neglect of upkeep. The City has made a hard commitment to address abandoned, dilapidated, and public safety buildings. The City is also committed to a revitalization effort to replace demolished buildings with more modern, attractive buildings that will blend in with the current Downtown appearance.
