The Ocean City Police Department is mourning the loss of a member of the Patrol/Explosives Division, K-9 Delon. The 8-year-old shepherd (pictured here with his partner Pfc. Freddie Howard) passed away Tuesday from a degenerative disk disorder in his spine.
K-9 Officer Delon came to the OCPD in 2005 from the Czech Republic and has spent over 1,000 training hours as the OCPD’s only explosives K-9. Delon also trained with Dover Air Force Base and the Ocean City Fire Marshal’s Office.
