The City of Pocomoke is excited to welcome our newest team member, Mike Shannon, who brings more than 40 years of professional experience following a distinguished career with Sysco.
A committed community servant, Mike has been a member of the Pocomoke Volunteer Fire Company for 35 years—earning recognition as a top responder and Firefighter of the Year in 2025. Mike is also a proud 25-year member of the Pocomoke Elks.
Mike has played a leadership role in many local events, including long-standing service as Chairman of the Cypress Festival and the Pocomoke Christmas Parade. Mike's experience also includes founding and leading the Pocomoke Boat Docking Challenge, serving as Past Chairman of Crisfield Boat Docking, and coordinating logistics for the Dock Jam Concerts.
In this new role, Mike will continue to apply his extensive background in event planning and community engagement to help bring exciting, family-friendly events to Pocomoke City.
Please join us in officially welcoming Mike to the team!
