Hurricane Irene Updates
Through the whole weekend, we just want to assure everyone we will have updates for Hurricane Irene right here on The Pocomoke Public Eye. You can also catch "Travis in the Morning" on Bay Country 97.9 FM and WGOP 540AM for live updates on the radio about Hurricane Irene all day Saturday and Sunday, and the same information will be uploaded right here on the blog! If you have information or want to share how your town is during the hurricane, or you want to send us a picture to put on the blog or on the radio's website, you can email pcitypubliceye@gmail.com, bwbw@hughes.net, or baycountry979@gmail.com. Remember to stay safe this weekend!

I've gone and dug out my radio, got some batteries plus extras so I'm ready. I fully expect the electric to be out. I'll be listening to Bay Country! Thanks, Travis!
Tip from the Weather Channel-Get some ziplocks and fill them 3/4 of the way full with water. Jam as many as you can in every nook and cranny in your freezer. Will help slow down the thawing process if electric is off.
Landline just rang-picked it up-recording from Delmarva Power saying to expect power outages. They have crews mobilized to start fixing as soon as it is safe to do so.
I also heard the governor say electric company crews from Kentucky, Ohio and Pennsylvanis are stationed at BWI to help get power restored when the storm is over.
