POCOMOKE CITY, Md.- A Pocomoke City man is behind bars following accusations that he had sexual relations with a minor.
Forty-seven-year-old Daniel W. Crismond is charged with second- and third-degree sex offense; sex abuse of a minor; second-degree assault; and second-degree child abuse.
The Worcester County Bureau of Investigation said Crismond's arrest stemmed from an investigation that got under way on Friday, Nov. 4. According to investigators, the investigation revealed that Crismond had sex with an underage girl. Police said that when Crismond was confronted about the allegations, he confessed to his involvement. Police subsequently took Crismond into custody on the aforementioned charges.
He is being held in the Worcester County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond. A preliminary hearing for Crismond is scheduled for Dec. 5 in the Worcester County District Court.
