The first Earth Day was April 22nd, 1970. I remember it well, and I also remember how it came to be. That date was chosen to commemorate the 100th birthday of Vladimir Lenin. The leftists knew that calling it Lenin's Birthday would not be popular so they came up with the scheme to call it something innocuous. You can celebrate it by cleaning something or feeding wildlife or whatever. As for me, I am going to take a big dump in the Pocomoke River.
