Sgt. Michelle Anaya of the State Police issued a release that stated that during the fire at the Whispering Pines an arrest was made but it had nothing to do with the arson fires. The person arrested had a warrant for his arrest on unrelated charges and was taken into custody at the scene of the fire.
The State Police continues to urge everyone to be on the lookout for actions and behavior that might provide leads in the case.
A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for anyone providing information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons involved in the arson fires. Call 757-655-1437.
