On April 14, 2014 at approximately 1146 hours Deputies with the Worcester County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to Libertytown Road, in Berlin, Worcester County, Maryland in reference to a female being dragged across the roadway by a male.
The witness then observed the male picked the female up and carry her in the residence.
Within minutes Deputies arrived on scene and found the residence to be vacant.
A short time later the victim arrived at the Worcester County Sheriff's Office reporting she had injuries sustained from an assault that occurred on Libertytown Road in Berlin, Worcester County, Maryland.
Due to her injuries, the victim was transported to Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, by the Snow Hill Fire Company.
Through further investigation the suspect was identified as Michael Davon McBride, 31 years old of Snow Hill, Maryland.
Michael McBride was located and arrested at 100 N Washington Street, in Snow Hill by the Worcester County Sheriffs Office and Snow Hill Police Department. Michael McBride was charged with 1st Degree Assault, 2nd Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, and False Imprisonment.
Michael McBride was taken in front of the District Court Commissioner where a $25,000.00 bond was placed on him and he was held at the Worcester County Jail.
