The last Pocomoke Fair was held in 1930 and was just a memory until the late Hargis Merrill made a VERY generous donation to resurrect the fair about 17 years ago. It is safe to say there would be no more fair without the generosity of Mr. Merrill. It is truly a shame that so few Pocomoke residents even know who he was.
