Under this program, the City, pursuant to a Community Legacy Program Grant from the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), will provide secured grant funds for property owners to improve building facades and interiors in the Downtown Business District or within the Pocomoke City Sustainable Communities Boundaries. The City will also assist property owners in making needed improvements to their buildings so that they will be more attractive for new business start-ups. This project represents a comprehensive approach to increasing the number of businesses in the downtown area as well as improving its appearance.
