SNOW HILL, Md.- The Worcester County Health
Department has confirmed the second death of a
county resident this week from COVID-19.
The department said late Thursday afternoon that the
resident was a woman in her 80’s with several
underlying medical conditions.
The department announced the county's first COVID-19
death on Tuesday, a woman in her 80’s who was a
hospice patient at a county long-term care facility prior
to the onset of COVID-19 illness.
As of Thursday, the Maryland Department of Health was
reporting 61 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Worcester
County.
