District 38 State Senator Mary Beth Carozza, in partnership with the Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration (MDOT MVA), Maryland Coastal Bays Program, and Chesapeake Bay Trust are revealing an updated design for the Maryland bay license plate.
Members of the press are invited to this exclusive first look at the updated license plate. Government officials, partner organizations, car dealerships, tag and title agencies, and the local community will gather to learn more about the redesign and the impact the plate has in protecting and preserving Maryland’s natural resources and waterways. The updated license plate will be available to the public following the announcement.
WHEN: Tuesday, July 23, 2024, 11am – 1pm
WHERE: Assateague State Park Living Shoreline (next to the boat ramp) on Route 611. Directly across from the Assateague National Seashore Visitors Center.
WHAT: Exclusive first look at the revamped Maryland bay license plate. The event will also include interactive activities to engage with the Bay including seining, education on horseshoe crabs, terrapins, and restoration practices, and more. Attendees are welcome to arrive at 10:30am prior to the press event to engage with these Bay-related activities.
