Missing man may be on his boat-

 

Worcester County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the disappearance of Daniel Potter, 49 years old, who was last seen on June 10, 2026.

It is believed Mr. Potter may be on his vessel (pictured), which was last seen docked at Sunset Marina in West Ocean City, Maryland. It is unknown whether he departed into the bay or the ocean.

The vessel is described as a dark blue 2005 Hydra-Sport, approximately 25 feet in length, bearing hull identification number MD13DE.

Mr. Potter is not in possession of his cellular phone and is considered critically missing due to concerning statements he made to family members. He has residences in Ocean Pines and Gaithersburg, Maryland.

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources Police and the United States Coast Guard have been notified and are actively searching for the vessel.
