Sunset Cruise benefits Chincoteague Library

Tickets are now on sale for the Annual Summer Sunset Cruise to benefit the Chincoteague Island Library. The cruise will be aboard the “Martha Lou” with Daisey’s Island Cruises. Everyone is invited to have a great evening on the water and support the library as it continues to serve the residents and guests of Chincoteague and the Eastern Shore.

The cruise departs from Curtis Merritt Harbor on Thursday, June 22 at 6:00 PM returning to port at about 8:30 PM. (please arrive by 5:30 PM.) Ticket price includes, refreshments catered by Bill’s Restaurant, beverages, and live music by Troy and Clare Outten.  Tickets for this event are $65 a person (adults only, please) and may be purchased by calling Daisey’s Island Cruises at 757-336-5556.

Daisey’s Island Cruises has generously donated crew and the “Martha Lou” for this event.  All proceeds will benefit the Chincoteague Island Library programs and services.  If you need additional information, please call the library at 757-336 3460.

Residents of Chincoteague, the Eastern Shore, visitors, and guests are invited to support the Chincoteague Island Library and enjoy this memorable cruise on the “Martha Lou” while enjoying this unique view of the Island.

The Wheels on the Waterfront (WOW Cruise In) Car Show returns  SATURDAY, JULY 23rd starting at 4pm! 

There will be plenty of cars and delicious food by the Crisfield Lions Club & Crisfield Lioness Lions, along with a few other vendors and our downtown restaurants.. and great views!

Come out for Return to Goat Island, this Saturday, July 23rd, 9am-4pm at Byrd Park in Snow Hill. Register to participate in the paddle races at paddleguru.com. The Queen's Bishop will be live 12pm to 4pm, Riverside BBQ will have some finger lickin’ lip smackin’ food, Burnish Beer Co. will be serving delicious adult refreshments, Look Pretty Play Dirty Mobile Petting Farm will be on site, and Art by Olga Deshields will be offering face paintings! Vendors will be set up with lots of products for you to buy, and of course we’ll have corn hole and law games set up! Whether you are racing, or spectating, you won’t want to miss this event!!

Walk on Water and the Town of Snow Hill Present the 5th Annual Return to Goat Island Paddle Fest Saturday, July 23rd, in Snow Hill, Maryland. 

Walk on Water will be celebrating a milestone 10-year Anniversary this July making a memorable race weekend even BETTER!

So, Join us on Saturday, July 23rd, for a FUN day of racing and hanging out with family and friends as we gather to celebrate the paddling lifestyle and all that it means to us. 

Races are open to paddlers of All levels: 

2-mile Open Race - SUP All & Kayaks (under 12 ft. ONLY)

6-mile Race - SUP 14' (category incl 12'6"), SUP surf style (under 12') and Kayaks & Surfski

Dash for Cash Sprint (right after the main races) -SUP 14' (ONLY) 

Kids Races on giant inflatables.

Delmarvalous Festival Saturday in Salisbury

 

Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Come celebrate Delmarva Culture, Decoy Carving, Traditional Arts, and Local History! The Ward Museum’s one-of-a-kind, one-day folklife festival is back and in-person this year! (And totally free to attend!!)

The Delmarvalous Festival is a fun celebration of Delmarva Culture. Join us Saturday, August 14 from 9:00am – 4:00pm at the Ward Museum. There really is something for everyone.

The festival will feature a variety of live music, talks, demonstrations, games, and unique offerings from local artists and makers. You’ll be able to make your own kite, watch a professional sand castle maker in action, learn about blacksmithing, watch close-up demos of crab picking, distilling, fiber arts, candle making, decoy carving, and so much more!

The Delmarvalous Festival will also host several activities and games for kids of all ages. Food and drinks will be provided by local vendors and will be available for purchase all day during the festival.
