SNOW HILL – The Snow Hill Blues Jam will celebrate 10 years with a tribute to a local musician. The 10th annual Snow Hill Blues Jam is set for March 11 at the town’s old firehouse. This year’s event will honor Mike Armstrong, a local musician who passed away in September. Armstrong was a member of the Snow Hill All Stars, a group known for its participation in the Blues Jam. In addition to the live music, attendees at the Blues Jam will be offered a barbeque dinner, cash bar, raffle and silent auction. Events that will be happening in the community Beaver Dam Presbyterian Church's band and choir will be performing at a benefit concert at First Baptist Church in New Church VA this Sunday, March 10 at 6:00 pm Pitts Creek Presbyterian Church will be having an All You Can Eat Taco Night on Saturday, March 16 from 5-7. The Pocomoke Ministerial Association will be having a CommunityGood Friday Service at the Abundant Life Apostolic Church on Front Street on Friday, March 29 at noon.
Pitts Creek and Beaver Dam Presbyterian Churches and Salem and Bethany Methodist Churches will have a joint Easter Morning Sunrise Service on the dock behind Salem church at 6:30 am on March 31. All are invited.
