Held every year on the third Wednesday in July at Somers Cove Marina in Crisfield, this annual celebration is named in honor of Crisfield native, J. Millard Tawes - the 54th Governor of the State of Maryland. This event, listed in Frommers Travel Guides and other National Event Directories is described as ..... "..an outdoor all-you-can-eat affair featuring crabs, clams, fish, corn on the cob, and watermelon, and in election years, lots of politicians."

This event is recognized as one of Maryland`s finest seafood festivals. Tickets must be purchased in advance through the Crisfield Area Chamber of Commerce.

Due to the tremendous response and popularity of this event, space is limited to 6000. Tickets will be sold on a first come - first serve basis.

With a purchase of 30 tickets or more, the Chamber will provide your business or organization with a hospitality space for a fee. Spaces are limited. Please inquire early.

Chamber of Commerce Seafood Fest

The Eastern Shore of Virginia Chamber of Commerce will again host the Seafood Festival on the first Wednesday of May - this year May 5 - from noon to 4 p . m. The Seafood Festival is the second- oldest food festival in Virginia and will be held at Tom's Cove Campground on quaint, historic Chincoteague Island, V a .

The ticket price is $40 and includes steamed clams, clams and oysters on the half shell, single- fried oysters, oyster fritters, clam fritters, clam chowder, clam strips, grilled chicken tenders, French- fried sweet potatoes, boardwalk fries, hush puppies, s poon bread, bottled water, soda and much, much more. Adult beverages are available for purchase , and there will be live entertainment from the band Midnight Country Express. Hospitality tent sites and radio advertising sponsorships are available to Chamber members, and VIP Tent ticket sales are open to the public.

Seafood Feast - All You Can Eat

The Elks Lodge 1766 is sponsoring an All You Can Eat Seafood Feast benefiting the Foodbank of the Eastern Shore on Saturday February 6th. Doors open at 5:00 PM, dinner will be at 6:00 PM and an auction will be held at 7:00 PM.

The Seafood Feast will be at the Elks Lodge 1766 in Accomac, VA and will include clams, oysters, fish, clam strips beef, onion rings, coleslaw, baked beans, hot dogs, corn on the cob, rolls and beverages.

The auction will be conducted by Chester Jackson. Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for children 10 and under.
