Footnote: Meinster's father was a longtime Pocomoke City dentist. Anyone remember when his office was at a second floor location on the east side of Market Street, vicinity of the F.W. Woolworth store? Later Dr. Meinster's dental practice was located at his home on Second Street.

All Eastern Shore MSP Medevac Services To Continue
(Press Release)
10/7/20
CAROZZA GRATEFUL FOR DECISION TO KEEP MSP AVIATION UNITS OPEN, ON SHORE
“Budget cuts to the Eastern Shore’s MSP Medevac services truly would have had a life-threatening negative impact on my constituents.”
OCEAN CITY, MD—Senator Mary Beth Carozza today issued the following statement after it was announced that all Maryland State Police Aviation Command bases will remain open:
“I am grateful for the decision made by Governor Larry Hogan and Maryland State Police Superintendent Woodrow Jones to keep all MSP Aviation Command bases open. I also would like to thank all those emergency first responders on the front lines and all my constituents, many whose lives have been saved by MSP Aviation, for their strong advocacy for keeping Trooper 4 in Salisbury and Trooper 6 in Easton.”
Shore responders, labor representatives, and family members personally had contacted Senator Carozza and shared stories about the significance of MSP emergency rescues where the Trooper 4 and Trooper 6 airborne transportation literally saved the lives of countless victims. On a personal note, Senator Carozza’s aunt and uncle were involved in a very serious automobile accident on Route 50 in Dorchester County in 1998 where they both individually were transported by Medevac to Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore. They both survived the horrific crash and fortunately are still alive today.
In her letter to Superintendent Jones in July when MSP aviation units on the Shore were threatened for closure, Senator Carozza stated, “The possible budget cuts to the Eastern Shore’s MSP Medevac services truly would have a life-threatening negative impact on my constituents and other Shore residents and visitors, especially in the remote rural areas on the Shore like Smith Island and in Ocean City which swells to the second-largest city in Maryland during the season.”
It's WALKTOBER on the lower Eastern Shore.
The three health departments of the Lower Eastern Shore invite residents to join the free “Lower Shore Walking Tour” and walk any of the 43 public walking routes and trails or choose their own path.
